Who Can Apply for Library Services
If you live in Florida and have trouble reading print as the result of an eye problem or a reading disability, or if you have difficulty holding a book because of arthritis, a stroke or an accident, Talking Books will help you keep in touch with the world of books and magazines. Braille reading materials are also available.
Libraries, nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and other Florida institutions with customers who have disabilities impeding the use of conventional print can also apply for services.
A short application must be completed. Contact the Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Library Services or any of the local Blind Services District Offices for an application or you can download the English or Spanish version by using one of the links below:
If you have difficulty filling out the application because of vision loss, contact your local Blind Services District Office for assistance. A rehabilitation specialist will come out to your house and help you complete the form.
