Volunteering at Florida's Braille and Talking Book Library
Volunteers make a difference for readers who are unable to read conventional print. We always are looking for new volunteers. This volunteer effort ensures that people who have reading disabilities have access to Braille or talking books.
The types of services that you might want to do include:
- Pulling and Shelving Books
- Duplicating Cassettes
- Cassette Inspection
- Labeling and Mailing Projects
- Machine Repair
- Recording and Monitoring
- Clerical
- Assisting in the Print Shop
- Braille Transcription
- Word Processing
Contact Jane Karp at Jane.Karp@dbs.fldoe.org to volunteer or get more information.
