Personal View

Hello. I am Lion Joe Price and I am the Multidistrict Membership chair for Florida and the Bahamas. What do lions do? Maybe the question is what don't we do. I will cover some of the projects and a little about us in this letter.

Helen Keller challenged us to become her Knights of the Blind in 1925 and our motto is "We Serve".

Here in Florida and the Bahamas we support several major entities: Florida Lions Camp near Lake Wales, Conklin Center for the Blind in Daytona Beach, The Florida Lions Foundation for the Blind, Inc, North Florida Lions Eye Foundation in Jacksonville, Lions Hearing Aid Bank of North Florida, Southeast Guide Dogs in Palmetto, Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, New York and International Hearing Dog in Colorado. These are but a few of our projects.

I can provide you with publications on the different entities if desired or you may want to copy some from our website. Any one interested in serving their community through Lionism feel free to contact me at eprice3051@knology.net. The word LION or LIONS should be in the subject.

We also have a multidistrict website located at http://lionsofflorida.org. You may want to visit our International website at http://lionsclubs.org..

Thank you for this opportunity to present information about Lions in Florida and the Bahamas.

Yours in Lionism,

Joe Price

MD35 Membership Chair
